KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A 2-vehicle accident leaves three injured.

The accident happened on Highway 6, west of Highway F about 4 miles east of Kirksville, just before 1:30 Sunday afternoon.

Traffic was so backed up, our reporter wasn't able to get to the scene until after emergency responders had cleared it.

According to the crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle crossed the center lane, and another car drove partially off the edge of the roadway to miss the vehicle, but the cars still collided.

Brandon Bode, 18 of Clarance, Leonard McCarty, 69 of Hurland, and Mary McCarty, 70 of Hurdland were all transported to the Northeast Regional Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.
