Argument leads to domestic assault charges

NOVINGER, MO. -- A Novinger, Mo. man is facing felony domestic assault charges. David Novinger, 46, is facing the charges following an incident Friday night.

According to court papers, an Adair County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Novinger’s residence in reference to a possible domestic assault. When the deputy arrived, the victim stated that she had been pinned down by Novinger and that he had started to choke her. She then bit him on the chest until he released her. She also stated that they had been arguing much of the evening.

Novinger was taken into custody and charged with 2nd degree domestic assault. He is being held in the Adair County jail on $25,000 cash only bond.
