KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Congressman Sam Graves of Missouri came to Kirksville Friday to talk about jobs and small businesses.

The Congressman talked to the audience at Lovegreen Ford about a bill that was recently submitted that got the crowd going.

He said the bill basically forces the Senate and House to pass a budget.

If they don't pass a budget before May, then the pay for all members of Congress stops.

Graves also discussed the upcoming session and his priorities for 2013.

Several members of the audience were able to ask the congressman questions.

One audience member said every time he has tried to reach Graves, he has received a reply.

Graves now represents all of northern Missouri in Washington.

Graves serves as the chairman of the Small Business Committee, and he is a member of the Transportation Committee.
