Kelly Ames, 21, of Kirksville
KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The girlfriend of the Kirksville man charged with numerous sex-related felonies, has also been charged with felony sex crimes, involving the same victim.
Kelly Ames, 21, of Kirksville, is charged with two counts of first degree child molestation. She is being held in the Adair County jail under $100,000 cash only bond.
According to court papers, Ames is accused of inappropriately touching the victim on two separate occasions while she was babysitting for the four-year-old in the trailer Ames and
Christopher Hunter
share.
Ames, like Hunter, told Kirksville police she also "had a problem".
The investigation into the activities of both Hunter and Ames is continuing.
Ames was in court Wednesday morning and her attorney asked for a bond reduction. That request was denied. Her next court appearance is set for January 30.
