A native from our area marched in the 57th Inaugural Presidential Parade.

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama publicly took the oath of office for his second term Monday and a native from our area marched in the 57th Inaugural Presidential Parade.

Tech. Sergeant Joshua Cullum from Green City represented the US Air Force Band and Honor Guard. Sergeant Cullum is among the 99-piece band and 80-person Honor Guard Flight.

He's a tombonist with the Airmen of Note, the premiere jazz ensemble for the Air Force.

Cullum earned his Bachelor of Music from Eastman School of Music and a Master of Music degree from Yale School of Music.

Some of his other Air Force career highlights include the arrive ceremonies for German Chancellor Angela Merkel as well as the memorial concert for Senator Ted Stevens.

Cullum and the band marched along the 1.5 mile route that goes past the White House.
