UNIONVILLE, MO -- The Putnam County R-1 School District recently recognized Haley Bradshaw as the Career and Technical Education Student of the Month for January.
The acknowledgement included the presentation of a certificate, denoting her honor as one of the top high school vocational students, as chosen by the vocational faculty at Putnam County R-1 High School. Haley will also be honored at a local Rotary meeting.
Haley Bradshaw, is the daughter of Sarah and Shane Bradshaw of Livonia, MO, and is a sophomore at Putnam County R-1 High School. Haley is active in multiple organizations in the school and community including FCCLA, where she serves as Treasurer, FCA, and FBLA. She also participates in Varsity softball, basketball, track, and is an enthusiastic member of The Mob.
Outside of school, Haley is involved in God’s Squad, and Raider’s Softball.
Lisa Stobbe, FACS Instructor at Putnam County R-1 High School says “Haley jumped right into FCCLA from the beginning and always with a smile. Even as a freshman and sophomore, she has become a key leader and advocate for FCCLA. Haley has an enthusiasm for promoting and growing FCCLA so it can be perceived as an “important” organization at Putnam County. She sets an example of participation by participating in STAR events in which she has organized projects that have benefited our community.”
The Putnam County School District feels that these monthly rewards reinforce the importance of Career and Technical Education in our schools. Learning a skilled trade for craft enables many capable students to enter the workforce and establish successful careers. Vocational instruction also helps the college bound student succeed in various avenues of study.
All monthly winners are considered for the Career and Technical Education Student of the Year Award, which will be announced at the Putnam County R-1 Awards Ceremony in May.
