KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A northeast Missouri man accused of seriously injuring an infant, has entered a not guilty plea in Adair County Circuit Court.

Larry Walker, 28, of Kirksville, is charged with abuse or neglect of a child causing serious emotional or physical injury. Tuesday in court, Walker’s motion for a bond reduction was denied. He remains in the Adair County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.

According to court papers, Walker is accused of causing serious injuries to an infant who was in his care at the time. Doctors at University Hospital in Columbia, where the infant was treated, has said the injuries are consistent with shaken baby cases. The infant was 18 days old at the time of the incident.
