Pursuit of stolen car ends in drunk driving charge

MACON COUNTY, MO. -- An Arkansas man is resting in a Missouri jail following his arrest on another drunk driving charge.

According to court papers, Highway Patrol troopers assisted a Randolph County Sheriff's deputy who was in pursuit of a vehicle. The car was finally stopped in Macon County by the use of stop sticks. The license plate on the vehicle came back as a stolen vehicle from Little Rock.

David Ryan, 42, of Little Rock Arkansas, is charged with driving while intoxicated as an aggravated offender. He was also charged with failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving with a revoked license. He is being held under $25,000 cash only bond. Ryan is scheduled for his initial arraignment on January 10.
