KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Three people are behind bars on meth related drug charges after Kirksville Police officers responded to a noise complaint at the Newton Trailer Court on North Walnut Monday evening.

Dara Smith, 31, of Kirksville, is charged with attempt to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of meth.

Also, with two previous drug-related convictions, Adair County Prosecutor Matt Wilson is asking that she be sentenced, upon conviction, as a persistent offender.

If convicted, Smith could be sentenced up to ten years to life.

The other two people charged are Vicki Mokhtar, 36, and Charles Robinson, 42, both of Kirksville. Each is charged with attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.

A fourth person arrested has not yet been charged.

According to court papers, when officers arrived at the scene, they heard loud talking coming from inside.

The discussion indicated possible drug use or production going on in the trailer.

Officers found numerous ingredients known to be used in the manufacture of meth, located in the trailer.

None of those arrested has a court appearance set at this time.
