Donald Lee Maize
1964 – 2012

Donald Lee Maize, 47, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away at his brothers home in Kirksville, Missouri, under the care of family and Hospice.

The son of Harley Lee and Shirley Mae (Cross) Maize, he was born October 2, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Donald is survived by his daughter, the love of his life, Stevie Lee Maize of Kirksville, MO; two brothers, Harley Maize of Kirksville, MO and Robert Maize of Des Moines, IA; three sisters, Carol Stiles of Des Moines, IA, Nancy Johnson of South Carolina and Sharon Vandermark of Des Moines, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Helen Jean Martin.

Donald worked as a Chef a number of years in Des Moines.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (September 8, 2012) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor John Howell presiding. Interment will follow the service at Hazel Creek Cemetery in rural Kirksville.

Family will receive friends Saturday (September 8, 2012) one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Donald may be made to Stevie Lee Maize Memorial Fund, in care of his daughter. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
