Councilmember not pleased with proposed raise in property tax

According to the city’s proposed budget plan for the next fiscal year, residents will see a 1 percent increase in property taxes from the city.

Patrol Helicopter team rescues two from rising flood waters

Friday, April 19, 2013 Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol announced Friday that troopers using the Patrol’s helicopter equipped with a short haul rescue line rescued two turkey hunters who became stranded by rising flood waters in Texas County.
