Hunters getting credit for decreased deer collisions with vehicles

The rate of Iowa roadway deer kills has declined to figures not seen since the 1980s, and hunters are getting much of the credit.

Patrol Helicopter team rescues two from rising flood waters

Friday, April 19, 2013 Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol announced Friday that troopers using the Patrol’s helicopter equipped with a short haul rescue line rescued two turkey hunters who became stranded by rising flood waters in Texas County.
