OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Some famous people made an appearance at an Ottumwa elementary school Friday.

Sixth graders from Horace Mann Elementary hosted their annual wax museum Friday afternoon. They each dressed up as a famous person as part of their research projects that they've been working on since January.

The students had to write a four to six page paper on their famous person, which included note cards, an outline and a bibliography. They each presented a 30 to 40 second speech to a crowd of their parents about everything they learned.
