BROOKFIELD, MO. -- A motorcycle rally to benefit the International Rett Syndrome Foundation is coming up on May 9th.

The registration fee is $20 per rider and $5 per passenger.  That will include a raffle ticket, a dinner voucher, and a patch for your leather jacket to commemorate the event.

“If y'all would like to have a good night out and, right prior to Mother's Day, then bring mom out and enjoy the festivities out at the high school as well,” said “Brothers for Charity” President Chuck Wilson.

Registration for the ride will begin at 9:30a.m. at Twin Parks in Brookfield.

After riding 100 miles, you will end at South City Park where food will be served.

The charity is near and dear to Chuck Wilson whose daughter was diagnosed with the disease when she was four years old.

“This is in her name, this ride is, but all of the proceeds that we receive from this will be going to the Rett Syndrome Foundation to help them to find a cure or if nothing else a very good treatment for these girls,” said Wilson.

The disease has left Wilson's daughter, Ceirney who is now ten years old, severely handicapped.

Singer Kevin Black, whose daughter died of the disease when she was 16, will perform later in the night.  His concert begins at 7:30p.m. at Brookfield High School.  The cost is $10 per person and free to kids 5 and under.  Tickets can be purchased at Dick’s Auto in Brookfield, AA Muffler in Chillicothe, or at the door.
