KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The 2nd Anniversary Celebration of the Northeast Regional Medical Center Healthy Woman Program held an expo and dinner Saturday evening.

The expo included demonstrations, health information, gifts, and even massages.

Since the program began two years ago, over 1000 women have joined.

“Healthy Woman is a program aimed at helping women make the healthcare decisions that they have to make for themselves, for their families, children, spouses, grandparents, parents.  It seems that women make the majority of those decisions so it's important that they are armed with the proper information,” says event coordinator Laura Gruber.

Gruber wants to thank all partners who helped with the program including AHEC, OB/GYN Specialty Group, The Dermatology Skin Spa, Ralph Boling, First Health, and Walgreens.

If you want to join the program, you can go to the website, www.nermc.com and sign-up for the free membership.
