KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Do your kids enjoy being outside and having fun?  The Hershey Track and Field games are just for them. The Kirksville Parks and Recreation Department and the Truman State University Health and Exercise Science Department are hosting this track and field event a week from Saturday on April 28th at Stokes Stadium.

“The Hershey Track and Field Games will be held here in Kirksville a week from Saturday on April 28. You do need to pre-register by Wednesday the 25th. The games are open to children five to fourteen, and that’s their age as of December 31st. So if you have a four year old that will be five, they are welcome to participate,” says Kirksville Recreation Specialist Robin Harden.

The event is free and participants get to take part in three events; two running and one field event, or one running and two field events.

Harden says the event has been a great success in the past and looks forward to seeing how many come out this year.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Kirksville Aquatic Center, or printed off the city’s website at http://www.kirksvillecity.com. For more information you can call The Kirksville Parks and Recreation Department at (660) 627-1485.
