Twin Pines Adult Care Center is a 152-bed Skilled Nursing Facility licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

Twin Pines Adult Care Center is a leading provider of senior care and has served seniors of Northeast Missouri for the past 40 years. Nestled adjacent to 100 acres of trees, Twin Pines Adult Care Center is directly across the street from Northeast Regional Medical Center for easy access to acute medical care.  An attendant accompanies our residents to medical appointments and they are transported by our facility van.

Twin Pines is a licensed skilled nursing facility, that participates in the nursing home quality excellence campaign.  Our facility is one of only a very few skilled nursing facilities in the State of Missouri to have a Telehealth Unit.  We also use a Nintendo Wii in our Physical Therapy Department to encourage strengthening and rehabilitation potential.

Questions & Answers
Question
How are services paid for?
Answer
Twin Pines’ accepts Medicare, MoHealthNet/Medicaid, Insurance and Private Pay.  We recommend anyone who thinks they might qualify for MoHealthNet/Medicaid to contact the DHSS Division of Family Support and speak with a Case Worker to discuss eligibility.  Medicare provides payment for skilled nursing services following an acute in-patient hospital stay of at least 3 nights under specific circumstances.  To learn more, call Twin Pines at 665-2887 and speak with our Social Service Director.
Question
What if I don’t like any of the choices on the menu?
Answer
Just let us know what you do like or what sounds good and we will do our best to provide it. We have a large menu of items that can be provided or made to order.
Question
How will I get to my Dr. appointment?
Answer
We will transport you in one of our two wheelchair accessible vans and will stay with you at your appointment.
Question
But if I go to the nursing home, does that mean I’ll never be able to go home again?
Answer

No. 3 out of 4 people we serve under our Skilled Therapy Program return to their own home after recuperating and receiving the therapy they need.  Often, if someone comes to Twin Pines for rehabilitative services, they are able to return to home and be more successful at home because they have been able to fully recover and rebuild the strength needed to be independent at home. Additionally, our Social Service Director will work with you to set up the services you need at home to help you be successful.
