KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A local economic development group is jazzing up its website, appointing a couple of new board members and trying to get even more people to join.

Kirksville Regional Economic Development, Incorporated (K-REDI), met Tuesday afternoon for its regular monthly board meeting.

K-REDI’s website announced it should be ready for the grand reveal by November 1.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the board voted to appoint two new board members: Ashley Young and Dr. Jack Magruder.

As you may remember, Magruder is the recently retired president of A.T. Still University.

"After he retired from ATSU, we thought it was a perfect fit for him to be on this board,” said Ron Winkler, K-REDI board president. “We want to help the dental school in any way we can, and we thought that he would be a great asset to tell us what our role could be and how we could actually help the school."

Following the board meeting, the K-REDI Board hosted its general membership meeting where it was trying to encourage more people to join the organization.
