High School band students audition for Missouri All-State Band

KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Kirksville High School Band Students traveled to Hickman High School in Columbia for Missouri All-State Band Auditions on Saturday, December 1. 11 students auditioned, which is the highest Kirksville has had eligible for many years.

Two KHS students were recognized at the state level.

Nell Davis auditioned for the clarinet section along with 204 other clarinet players throughout Missouri. She was selected to the Missouri All-State Honorable Mention Band.

Austin Motley auditioned for the trombone section along with 106 other trombone players throughout the state of Missouri. He was selected first chair trombone in the Missouri All-State Band. This is Austin’s fourth year in the All-State Band.
