The Missouri State Highway Patrol announces on February 22, 2013, Troop B officers will be joining statewide efforts with other law enforcement agencies for an aggressive "Click It Or Ticket" mobilization to get more motorists to buckle up -- and save more lives.

Despite evidence proving the benefits of wearing a seat belt, nearly one in four Missouri motorists are still not "making it click."  Preliminary 2012 statistics show 64% of individuals killed in Missouri traffic crashes were unrestrained.

"Local motorists should be prepared for stepped up Click It Or Ticket enforcement," stated Captain Wilt.  "We will be out there to remind you that seat belts can and do save lives."

The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Click It 4 Life!!!
