A Kirksville man is among those remaining in the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy.
According to Colonel Ronald K. "Ron" Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 30 people reported on April 2, 2012, to begin the 25-week training course to become a trooper. David L. Fouch, Kirksville, is one of the 26 recruits remaining in the academy.
The 95th Recruit Class is scheduled to graduate on Sept. 21, 2012. The average age of the members of the 95th Recruit Class is 25 years. Of the recruits, one has attended some college, three have earned an associate's degree, eight have completed greater than 60 hours of credit, but less than 120 hours, and eight hold bachelor's degrees. Two recruits are working on their master's degrees; one recruit has earned a master's degree.
Four of the recruits have worked in law enforcement and four have prior military experience.
