Ruth Ann (Fiedler) Christianson
1932 – 2013

Ruth Ann (Fiedler) Christianson, 80, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (March 13, 2013) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The daughter of Gilbert and Gladys (Gross) Fiedler, she was born September 1, 1932 in West Allis, Wisconsin. Ruth was united in marriage to Willard “Bill” Christianson and after 54 years he preceded her in death in November of 2004.

Ruth is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Willard G.  and Joanne Christianson and Robin E. and Cheryl Christianson; one granddaughter, Katie Christianson; one sister, LaVerne Sanblom; two nephews, Gregg Darton and wife Chris and Garth Darton and wife Lisa, as well as other relatives and friends.

Ruth lived in Milwaukee and was a graduate from Pulaski High School. She then attended Marquette University.

The family started in East Troy, Wisconsin and enjoyed several years in Carrolton, Georgia. Ruth and Bill moved to Punta Gorda Isles, FL, in 1986. Ruth was an active realtor with Punta Gorda Realty since 1989. She also enjoyed golf, gardening and her swimming pool.

Ruth was a member of First United Methodist Church, Guthrie Simpson Circle and of St. Andrews Golf Club. She was a past member of Kingsway Country Club and Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club.

Ruth has been cremated and no public service will be held.
