ADAIR COUNTY, MO. -- As part of FFA week the Adair County R-1 FFA served over 150 lamb patties to students, faculty, and staff.  The activity was sponsored by the Missouri Sheep Merchandising Council. The purpose of the program is to introduce Missouri residents to American lamb meat products.

The program, which allotted $5,000 for the purchase and processing of lamb for the Missouri school's Future Farmers of America and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapters, was designed to increase lamb consumption by targeting youth in the state. The main objective was to allow students a chance to prepare and taste American lamb.

The program was a huge success and gave over 100 individuals the opportunity to taste Missouri lambs products, most for the first time.
