Dorothy Margaret Lutz, age 100, a lifelong resident of Putnam County, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at the Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, MO.
 
She was born January 13, 1912, in St. John, MO, the daughter of Irl and Ora Klinginsmith.
 
Dorothy was united in marriage to Louis Lutz on April 5, 1933, at St. Joseph’s Parish House in Trenton, MO.  This union was blessed with six children.
 
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and for years served as church pianist.  Dorothy enjoyed gardening, quilting, and fly fishing, but most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren.
 
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Lutz on February 7, 1994; a son, Eugene; a daughter, Elaine; two sisters, Gladys Hieineman and Opal Lutz; and one brother, Irl J. Klinginsmith.
 
She is survived by four children; Larry Lutz, Seymour, IA; Phillip Lutz, Unionville, MO; Margaret Szucs and husband, Sandor, Unionville, MO; Bobby Lutz and wife, Irene, Powersville, MO.  Surviving grandchildren include Thomas Lutz, Jeffrey Lutz, Kimberly Hamilton, Piroska Campo, Sandor L.Szucs, Kalman Szucs, Attila Szucs, Joseph Resko, Steven Lutz, Robert Lutz, and Jaromy Lutz.
 
There is one surviving brother, Harry Klinginsmith of Laredo, MO, and a sister, Floy Smith of Overland Park, KS, and several great-grandchildren.
 
Services for Dorothy Lutz were held Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the United Methodist Church of Unionville, MO.  Internment at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Unionville, MO.  Suggested memorials to Unionville United Methodist Church, St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Unionville, MO, or Donor’s Choice.
