Slyvia E. Bayler, 78, of Kirksville passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. 

She was the daughter of John and Nada (Barnhill) Yadon. She was born September 28, 1934 in Kirksville.

She is survived by seven children, Jerry Yadon and wife Beth of Centerville, Iowa, Frank Holloway of Kirksville, Gale Holloway of Green City, Allan Holloway of Kirksville, Robert Holloway of Kirksville, Vicky Hoffman of Kirksville, and Joyce Crawford and husband Rick Pinkerton of Green Castle; twenty grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harold Yadon; a daughter-in-law, Lois Holloway; a son-in-law Danny Hoffman; and a grandson Daniel Hoffman.

Slyvia received her education in Kirksville and graduated from Kirksville High School in 1953.  She worked at several places in Kirksville including the Shrine Club, Traveler’s Hotel, Uptwon Café, Yarrow Bar and Grill, and Twin Pines.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, her grandchildren, and cooking for her family.

There will be no funeral service and burial will take place at a later date in Highland Park Cemetery.
