Anna Lorene (Crawford) Wood
1923 – 2012

Anna Lorene (Crawford) Wood, 89, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday (October 24, 2012) at her home under Hospice care.

The daughter of Henry David and Birdella (Mahoney) Crawford, she was born April 3, 1923 in Powersville, Missouri. On August 28, 1939 in Lancaster, Missouri, Anna was united in marriage to Orval Raleigh Wood who preceded her in death on June 2, 2000.

Anna was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Karen Sue Mullanix; five brothers; four sisters and her granddaughter, Stefani Lorton.

Anna is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Orval Lee and Darlene Wood of Hudsonville, IL; one daughter, Linda Lou Wood of Kirksville, MO; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Wood and Maxine Wood both of Kirksville, MO; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Baker and wife Tammy of Brookfield, MO, Karen Lorton of Kirksville, MO, Kim Baker of Kirksville, MO and Chris Mullanix of Milan, MO; eight great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Anna received her education in the Putnam county rural schools. She worked as a housekeeper a number of years before going to work at McGraw Edison. Anna was last employed a number of years at Hollister, Inc. until retiring.

Her hobbies included crocheting, quilting and drawing.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (October 27, 2012) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Chaplain Carol Davenport presiding. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends on Saturday (October 27, 2012) one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Devin Lorton, William Bunch, Rusty Tiff, Terry Joe Wood, Joe Campbell and Keagan Baker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Adair County Health Department. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
