Natalie Cannaday age 87 of Kirksville passed away Sunday (May 27, 2012) at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center.
    
Natalie was born on February 19, 1925 in Kirksville, the daughter of Dorothy (Sawyer) and Charles Miller. She was united in marriage to Charles Cannaday on September 7, 1947 in Kirksville. To this union two sons were born.
    
Natalie is survived by her husband Charles; two sons, Charles Miller Cannaday and wife Lana of Kirksville, and Jeffery Cannaday and wife Janet of Josiah, TX; three grandchildren, Charles Miller Cannaday, Jr., Damien Cannaday, Christopher Cannaday; five great grandchildren, and a niece, Rachel Hudson.
    
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Gordon and Becky Still.
    
Natalie was reared in Kirksville, attended and graduated from the Kirksville Schools. She then attended the University of Missouri graduating in 1947. Her husband took a job with Travelers Insurance in St. Louis, MO in 1957, he was promoted and moved to Tulsa, OK in 1961, he was promoted and moved to Duluth, MN in 1965, he was promoted and moved to St. Charles, IL in 1970, he was promoted and moved to Cedar Rapids, IA in 1975 and returned to Kirksville in 1978. She had taught schools in various places they lived and after returning to Kirksville she was employed at the Area Agency on Ageing as the Fiscal officer and was last employed as the Secretary at the First Presbyterian Church.
    
Natalie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Elkadir Jewels, University of Missouri Alumni, Daughters of the American Revelation. She was an avid bridge player and played Duplicate Bridge. She loved working crossword puzzle and reading books.
    
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (May 31, 2012) at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Michael McCormack officiating. A private entombment service at the Maple Hills Chapel Mausoleum will be held at a later time.
