Kathleen L. Wilson, 95 of Kirksville passed away Monday (May 14, 2012) at Kirksville Manor Care.

The daughter of Bert and Lola (Elmore) Jones, she was born September 27, 1916 in Adair County, Missouri, East of Kirksville. On September 27, 1939 in Lancaster, MO she was untied in marriage to Russell V. Wilson.

Kathleen grew up in the Kirksville area, where she attended the Prairie Bird School and graduated from the Kirksville High School. She was active in the First Christian Church where she had served as deacon and taught Sunday school. She was also an active member of the D.A.R.. She loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren and her friends.

Kathleen is survived by one son, Clarke Wilson and wife Susan of Kirksville; one sister, Mary Virginia Points of Montrose, CA; two grandchildren, Aron Wilson of San Diego, CA and Renee’ Dwyer of Paragould, AR; and three great grandchildren, Alex Dwyer, Ian Dwyer and Hope Dwyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Russell on August 17, 1991.

A graveside service and entombment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (May 16, 2012) at Maple Hills Cemetery Mausoleum with Reverend Stephen McDuff officiating.

No visitation will be held. Arrangements under the direction of
