Becker’s Hospital Review selected Eric Barber, CEO, as a Top 300 Hospital and Health System Leader to Know. The annual award was published the first week of September and includes men and women who have shown admirable dedication to the improvement of healthcare delivery at local, regional and national levels. Some of the leaders have held their positions for a few months, while others have been at the helm for more than 20 years. All have demonstrated great promise and skill to the American healthcare landscape. Mr. Barber was named on the list in 2011 as well.
Mr. Barber joined Northeast Regional in the spring of 2010. Over the last two years he has driven significant change and improvement at Northeast Regional with the complete renovation of the patient tower, multiple equipment upgrades, and the opening of the Northeast Regional Heart Center. Mr. Barber has successfully recruited a number of key specialists to the Kirksville community as well as continuing to improve patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores.
