Kirksville Area Technical Center (KATC) will be hosting a community oriented expo on February 29, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The public is invited. The expo is the culminating celebration of Career and Tech Ed Month. The KATC opened in 1970 and was expanded in 1978. Thanks to tax payer support the building was extensively remodeled in 2009, bringing state-of-the-art learning labs to many of the programs. During the expo current course programs and student success stories will be showcased. High school students and their parents are encouraged to attend to find out about free college credit that is available to those who attend selected KATC programs. Door prizes will be awarded and snacks will be served.
