Missouri State Fair Ticket Exchange Deadline

Ticket holders to this summer’s Country Gold Tour Concert at the Missouri State Fair on Wednesday, August 19, have until 5 p.m. December 1, 2009 to participate in an admission ticket exchange opportunity.Heavy rain forced a decision to conclude the show before six of the eight performers made it to the stage. Out of respect to these concert fans, Fair Director Mark Wolfe announced an admission ticket exchange opportunity on August 31.“The Fair has been exchanging ticket stubs from the Country Gold Tour Concert for adult gate admission tickets to the 2010 Fair,” Wolfe said.According to Wolfe, the Fair is offering these ticket holders a higher rate of exchange. An individual that holds a $10 ticket stub can redeem it for two adult admission tickets valued at $16, and those with a $15 stub can request three adult admission tickets valued at $24.Wolfe said the exchange process is simple. The Country Gold Tour Concert ticket holders must write their full name, mailing address and telephone number on an 8 ½ x 11 inch sheet of paper; attach the ticket stub(s) or other proof of purchase to the paper; and then mail this information to the Missouri State Fair, Country Gold, 2503 West 16th Street, Sedalia, MO 65301.The approaching deadline to request the exchange is at 5 p.m. on December 1, 2009. Each concert ticket stub will be verified and then admission tickets will be mailed to qualifying individuals in July of next year.Wolfe said the Missouri State Fair regrets the confusion and disappointment caused by the early conclusion of the concert, and hopes that fans take advantage of the ticket exchange opportunity. The Fair can be reached by E-mail at mostatefair@mda.mo.gov or by phone at 660-827-8150.The 2010 Missouri State Fair in Sedalia will be held August 12-22 marking the 108th year of this agriculture showcase that prides itself in tradition and heritage while offering 11 days of innovative and exciting opportunities to families across Missouri.
