We want to raise awareness of the hunger problem in the Heartland and provide information about how

The Food Bank 

The Food Bank has been sharing food and bringing hope to hungry people for 30 years. Our success can be attributed to the support we receive from generous donors, sponsors and friends like you.

Through empowerment, education and partnership The Food Bank brings together community resources to feed people in need.

Salvation Army 

The Salvation Army, an international movement is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church.

Its message is based on the Bible.  Its ministry is motivated by the love of God.  Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet the human needs without discrimination.

Local Salvation Army Food Pantry needs 

Love Inc  Love I.N.C. is always in need of non-perishable food items and cash donations. 

The food and cash donations goes directly to help feed people in need. 
  Food 4 Kids provides free lunches for children and their caretakers at three Kirksville parks during six summer weeks when government-supported school lunches are not available.  Lunches are assembled in Kirksville and served at the parks by volunteers from participating Kirksville churches. The food is provided by the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri.

Funds contributed locally support necessary purchases of condiments, ice, bread, salty snacks, kitchen supplies, and bread for the sandwiches.

The mission of is "I Think I Can" is to supply the basic needs, such as food and clothing, to schoolchildrenin the local R-III school district who can otherwise not afford it.  To maintain continuous, close working relationships with teachers, counselors, nurses, administrators, and other pertinent R-III school administrators and staff in order to better identify which children need assistance.  To solicit funds from other organizations, foundation grants, and the general public in order to carry out the aforementioned activities of the organization.
