Ela Soroka made the trip from Phoenix, Arizona to Missouri to join the KTVO team in November 2010.

She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Broadcast Journalism/Mass Communications.

During college she interned with KSAZ-FOX 10 in Phoenix and landed a job as an Associate Producer for their morning show right after graduation. During her three years there, she was promoted to their Booker/Associate Producer position where she wrote stories for the morning show and dealt with guests on a regular basis. After seeing what it takes to put a newscast together, she decided to try her hand on the other side of the camera and ended up in Kirksville!

Even though she enjoys sunny days and temperatures in the 100’s, Ela is excited to enjoy four seasons, as long as there’s not too much snow!!

Currently, Ela is the Producer and Anchor of Good Morning Heartland and is excited to get the community involved with the show.

When not waking up early in the morning to get ready for the show, Ela enjoys hanging out with friends, shopping and of course spending time with her fiancé, Matt, and their English Bulldog, Bruiser!
