Growing up in northern Appalachia, I was terrified and fascinated by severe weather. I became a devoted viewer of the broadcast meteorologists in the Upper Ohio Valley, and I decided I would overcome my fear, and fuel my fascination, by applying myself to the scientific study of weather.
Earlier this year, I fulfilled my two dreams by graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Meteorology and by coming on board here at KTVO.
My contributions to broadcast meteorology began when I was in high school and I became a Weather Watcher for WTOV – 9 in Steubenville, Ohio. From there, I honed my on-air skills at Penn State’s television and radio stations, and through an internship at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
I am thrilled to join the KTVO team, and I feel right at home here in the Heartland. If you have any comments or story suggestions for me, please feel free to e-mail me any time. I look forward to hearing from you, and I look forward to bringing you the weather!
