She started her career with KTVO-TV as a general assignment reporter in Ottumwa before moving into the 10 p.m. anchor role and eventually anchoring both the 6 and 10 o’clock newscasts.
Marlene began her duties as KTVO-TV news director in December 2005.
Marlene has won numerous awards for her work from the Missouri Broadcasters Association and has also been honored with the Clara Barton Honor Award from the American Red Cross and the Special Angel Award from the Northeast Missouri Association for Citizens with Disabilities (NACD).
Marlene enjoys the family friendly atmosphere of the Heartland with her husband and son.
