Hello!
I am thrilled to begin my journalism career at KTVO!
I was born in Rochester, NY and later moved to Leavenworth, Kansas and lived there for eight years and moved to Larned, Kansas for two years.
My passion for television broadcasting started at the age of nine at a Biz Kids camp in Rochester, NY. I had to come up with a business plan and quickly realized I liked acting as a TV host and putting together a show rather than making a business plan.
In 2007, I began my education at the University of Kansas to study broadcast journalism.
I quickly became involved at KU. I joined black student union, student union activities, worked as an anchor, reporter at KUJH-TV News, reporter for the University Daily Kansas and KJHK FM. I was a member of Multicultural Scholars Program and tutored children in the PACE program. I am currently a member of NABJ. During my college career I completed a journalism internship at KCTV-5 news. I assisted reporters with live shots, recorded stand ups, checked beats and put assignments in I-news.
When I’m not at work, I love to read, watch reality TV shows (my guilty pleasure) and talk on the phone.
